Runkeeper gives you Distance travelled (also shown on a map), time taken, average speed, current speed, current split speed, calories burnt, average pace, current pace, current split pace. It can also track heartrate if you have a monitor.

It will give you audio cues of as few or as many of these options as you wish over a time and/or distance interval, e.g., every 5 minutes or every 1 km, or both.

It keeps an activity history with all of these details on your phone, and it also links up with the runkeeper.com website to show these details online. These can be shared with other runkeeper users (called street mates) and can of course be shared on FB and Twitter.

The latest update even has an autopause option, for those times when you have to stop to tie a lace, to talk to someone or waiting for a traffic light. You could always pause manually (and still can), but now it'll happen automatically when you've stopped for more than a few seconds.

    Brilliant app, and all free.

I assumed that run keeper worked off GPS data.
If so, what use is it in the gym?

    Question,
I had an ipod touch last year. It was stolen and I haven't had an idevice until now. Most of my apps were free, but one or two were paid apps. Should I be able to download them for free again.
If there anyway to bring up a list of all apps associated with an Apple ID. For For example, I want to re-download my ICM app, and I can't remember which is the correct one

Open iTunes and sign in using your Apple ID which you used to download/purchase your previous apps.

At the iTunes homepage there is a list of quicklinks over on the right hand side and one of them is "Purchased".

Click on "Purchased" and it will show you a list of all music, books and apps you have downloaded in the past.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,390 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

That's what I thought but its only showing items in current library..
I think my internet connection and/or firewall is bollox'd here. That prob the issue

Are you sure that after you have clicked the Purchased quickink on homepage that you have clicked on the Apps tab on top of page & then Not in My Library to the right?

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,390 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

Yeah, itunes was acting up for loads of things. Wouldn't download, signed out to see if that helped and then couldn't sign back in.
Uninstalled it, not can't open the page to reinstall. Its' like the itunes store is blocked. Which is weird cos I can see everything when browsing, but only when i try to DL nothing happens

Blueprint 3d, new game released. Looks great especially on retina screens. Great attention to detail, looks and sounds great. Its 2d blueprints in 3d form which you twist and turn to 'complete'. Nice little puzzler with a sh*tload of levels.

3 of my favourites are Starwalk, really cool app that shows your stars, satellites, constellation etc and 2 new apps from the same company I downloaded last week, iTap&go and iTap&prank, basically a fake call app and a sound effects app that you can receive calls or play sound effects off just by tapping on the phone, so your phone can be hidden in your pocket and you can set them off. I've had a lot of fun with these 2.
