    What does "status" mean?

I got one O and the rest C's, but I can't seem to find out what the point of it is?

    Yes.

What does 'Status' mean. Next to each of my modules under 'Status' it says C. But I have different grades. I presume it means 'Completed?'

O is for Optional, C for Compulsory! It means you chose to do the O subject!! Or at least thats what it looks like from my results!

Yes, you have the opportunity to repeat it if you wish to, and will have to if your QCA is below 2.0 by the summer, otherwise it is a pass.

Passed everything so I'm happy out. Also why are we given a QCA value in 1st year if it doesn't count?

You still need a QCA of 2.0 or more to pass the year so you need to know it.

Quick question, whats the difference between residual QCA and accumulated QCA?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,584 ✭✭✭skeleton_boy

ah thought it might be something like that. Thanks

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,811 ✭✭✭✭billy the squid

passed everything - even that horrid inDesign module. came back with a QCA of 3.22, or is that accumulated QCA

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,485 ✭✭✭Mr. K

I got a rather irritating C3...I'm viewing that one! Happy with my other results though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,041 ✭✭✭Seachmall

As expected I failed maths, not too bothered about it though. 2 A1s, 1 A2 and a B1.

I am thinking of having a grade recheck on one of my modules. I am wondering can you view your script before deciding whether or not to apply for a grade recheck? Are grades often wrong or are they usually right.

Which QCA is the one that shows your current degree progress: residual or accumulated?

havent a clue. even the grades are mad in the colleges. always thought a B was 70 - 85 percent, a B in college seems to be alot lower.
