Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It will be interesting to see how Thierry plays tonight, he hasn't been playing the best and rightly, Pedrito has been in.

One of those two rightfully deserves to be at the World Cup

    No guesses as to who........;)

    Pedrito is gonna be huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell you what, Valladolid are giving Barca a game out there.

Nearly went in front bar a great save from Valdes.

    Goal.............

    1 - 0

    Xavi

    Great technique

    Goal.............

    2 - 0

    Alves

    2 in 60secs!

    Pure fluke tbh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,282 ✭✭✭Glico Man

What a fooking goal. Great move started with Keita taking someone out by falling, Iniesta with a great pass, Xavi with the backheel flick onto Messi who gives it to Alves who crosses in for Xavi to finish it beautifully

And 2-0 Alves scores a peach of a cross/shot...I think he actually meant it

Jebus that first goal was glorious.

From giving them a good game to climbing a mountain in 2 minutes

The goals were against the run of play to be honest.

    Pretty even up to that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,282 ✭✭✭Glico Man

    Have to agree with ya.

But within 2 minutes they now have a mountain to climb to get anything out of it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,282 ✭✭✭Glico Man

Good run from Messi, great tackle to stop him

Unbelievable counter attack. Alves is so good for this Barca team. Also - both Alves and Abidal have probably been the best fullbacks in the world so far this season, really encouraging signs from both of them.

It's a pity for Alves that Maicon is so good cos he's keeping Dani out of the Brazil team.

From watching Maicon for both Brazil and Inter I dont think he offers as much going forward as Alves but on the other hand he is a better defender in my opinion.

Agreed, Brazil should count themselves lucky that they have such a diverse choice of options in the RB position. Alves will play certain types of games and Maicon will play the others.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,282 ✭✭✭Glico Man

Abidal so good he can tackle two players at once

He is so much better when he plays for Inter than Brazil but his inclusion for Brazil is usually because he can defend as well as attack.

    Thats just my opinion

    But that's the definition of a Busquets.:pac:

He(busquets) must have the highest ratio of fouls to cards in the world.:D

    Nah, that'd be Lassana Diarra!

    Full-time:

    Valladolid 0 - 3 FCB

Anyone want to bet against an unbeaten season ?

Massive pressure on Real now trailing 8 points behind.

And it was a good hard fought game too. Even 3-0 down Valladolid still pressed when some teams would have given up.

Real have it all to do while Barca, even in the tough games, can still win

Athleti really should be in front.

Llorente shocker of a miss and the lads cant decide on the offside goal.

    He looked off to me.

What happened? In a bar in Madrid, saw the replay of the goal then saw someone getting carried off and people with their heads in their hands

    This is nuts in fairness.

Bilbao should have been at least three up by half-time.

Just goes to show about needing to take your chances at the top level.

    2-1 with an og.

Toquero taken down and no penalty given...

I didn't see it but it was Luis Filipe and that's seriously bad news for Depor. He's been brilliant this season and had a good chance of making Brazil's world cup squad imo. Horrible to see!:(

Jesus, thats worse to see than the Eduardo injury..

Just an update on Luis Filipe after last nights horror injury. He was succesfully operated on last night and the prognosis is somewhere between 4-6 months so his world cups dreams could still be alive though no football for that period of time will make it difficult for Dunga to pick him. Depor keeper Gorka Iraizoz who was involved in the clash went to visit at 2am last night once surgery was complete.
