deleting accounts and so on

    hey folks! can someone help me to do the following please...

    the recent business with the hacking has brought to light that i have 3
    accounts on this site. i want to delete 2 of them but:

    a) i can't figure out how to close an account.

    b) i can't remember the email address i used to open the account i
    actually want to use, so i can't get a new password :(

    any help much appreciated!! :o

    Hi there,

    We generally don't delete old accounts, as to do that, the posts would also disappear. This would leave big gaps in the threads etc where they have contributed.

    In relation to your second question, there is a thread here about it. We're working on ways to reunite users with their old accounts who cannot remember their former email/cannot access old email accounts etc.
