Take a look at the sticky thread above this thread.

When it comes to arcade games MAME should get you started, for Amiga games WinUAE is the emulator of choice. If you need help setting them up post here and we'll give you a hand. :)

downloaded winUAE and installed it. message came up on first load:
One of the following system ROMs is required:
    - KS ROM v1.3 (A500,A1000,A2000) rev 34.5 (256k) [315093-02]
    - KS ROM v1.3 (A3000)(SK) rev 34.5 (256k)

Check the System ROM path in the Paths panel and click Rescan ROMs

When i did this, all ROMs are unavailable.
    what to do now?
    thanks

    Hey whiteman19,

Google ' Amiga Kick Start Roms ' And you'll easily find what your looking for.
These files should be placed in the correct folder in the WinUAE directory.

Games for the amiga you'll find on the internet are stored in .adf file format.
For example: Alienbreed.adf and with games spanning a number of floppies typically being called Alienbreed1.adf etc...

Once you've located some game files (Google again)put them in your WinUAE directory and you should be ready to go.

    Go to C:\Program Files\WinUAE

Create the following folders \games and \rom

Copy the adf files to \games and the kickstarts to \rom

Start WinUAE click ok to the kickstart warning.

Now under the settings heading you will see 'Paths' click it...

    - After the 'System Rom' text box use the button to navigate to the rom folder you created.

Now back to the settings heading you will see 'QuickStart' click it...

    - Use the 'Select disk image' button and browse to you games directory
Go to C:\Program Files\WinUAE\games and choose the game you want to play.

Hit the start button and your away!!

if, for example, a game has more than 2 floppys, and during the game it asks to insert a different disc, how do you do that?
eg a game has 3 floppys, one of which is needed to boot the game.
so you put 2 of the discs (disc 1-boot, and disc 2) into DF0 and DF1.
but then the game needs to insert disc 3 into DF0 or DF1 after playing the game for a while, how do you do that?
the game needs to have the discs 1 and 2 to start playing the game, but then you need the third disc. tried going to HARDWARE -> FLOPPY DRIVES and creating a new floppy but the game doesn't recognise DF2.
    any solutions?

I'm afraid most Amiga games only support a maximum of 2 drives. That being the internal and one external. In fact a lot of games wouldn't even recognise the 2nd external one as I recall!
