Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Travel on Inter-City Bus Services for Just €2 with Latest Bus Éireann Twitter Offers

Due to popular demand, Bus Éireann’s €2 Twitter offers have returned. The €2 single fares for travel on select off-peak inter-city services proved very popular when introduced in the middle of last year and Bus Éireann is making them available to customers again in 2010 starting with three routes – Limerick-Tralee, Dublin-Rosslare, and Dublin-Waterford.

The €2 fares, which represent a significant discount on standard single fares, are only available by clicking on the offer link on the company’s Twitter site - www.twitter.com/buseireanndeals.

The €2 single fare tickets are available on a limited basis on off-peak services, end-to-end, on the following departures from 19th January 2010 until 7th February 2010:

    Limerick-Tralee-Limerick (Route 13)
    From Limerick (Bus Station) 11.35, 13.35, 15.35
    From Tralee (Bus Station) – 11.00, 13.00, 15.00

    Dublin-Rosslare-Dublin (Route 2)
    From Dublin – 10.30, 11.30, 12.30, 13.30, 14.30, 15.30
    From Rosslare – 10.30, 11.30, 12.30, 13.30, 14.30, 15.30

    Dublin-Waterford-Dublin (Route 4)
    From Dublin – 10.30, 11.30, 12.30, 13.30, 14.30, 16.00
    From Waterford – 10.30, 11.30, 12.30, 13.30, 14.30, 15.30

Further €2 Twitter offers will be introduced in the coming weeks on other inter-city services.
“Our great value Twitter fares have proven to be incredibly popular and we are delighted to be able to offer customers the chance once again to make major savings by travelling on inter-city services for just €2,” said Andrew McLindon, PR Manager, Bus Éireann.

Bus Éireann sold over 2,500 tickets – or the equivalent of 45 full coaches - through Twitter in the last five months of 2009.

Bus Éireann’s Twitter and Facebook (www.facebook.com/buseireann) sites have regular updates on promotional fares, special services and service information.

the only drawback is having to depart from either terminus but even with that you cant beat €2 tickets very easily
TICKETS ARE NOT VALID FOR INTERMEDIATE STOPS.
it also looks like you have to complete the journey and are not allowed get off at say carlow on the dublin-waterford tickets or you will be liable to pay the full fare
