I'm writing a local history book and wondering whether anyone has any idea as to how wars affected pubs. I mean for example supply of alcohol, tobacco, opening hours, were they subject to surveillance?. I'd also appreciate any insight into bar technology such as when metal kegs replaced timber barrels. Any wisdom…
