preservation one,i didnt answer it.i only remember seeing something about the underlying principles and to explain for like jam i think.Also for answering the chart I would evaluate under the various headings like say PROTEIN-and then be like the peanuts have 34g of saturated fat.current dietary guidelines state that the saturated fat intake should be lowered,then say you would do another one like VITAMINS-and then talk about each of the foods in the chart.eg.tinned salmon contains b group and fat soluble vits a and d,vit a is needed for good eyesight etc.

They took them back but

The bleach question you describe in full and its like you have 25cm and its diluted to 250 then there is an equation(cant really remember, but ethanol- describe exp., how you change the set up and chemicals around like instead of the liebig condenser on the side it would be on top, the indicator and colour change for it. Volatile liquid- draw and how to measure pressure/volume and temperature of the gas the it gives you a bunch of figures and you find the PV=nRT make sure you know how to change and what to change them to. The 1st question is about the guy who found the neutron and his picture then pretty much the rest as I said which are bout 60% of the marks

the one with the kiwi? to isolate dna from a plant tissue. i think there was a long question on the ear and male reproductive system. the experiment on the effect of heat on rate of enzyme activity came up on the long questions too

its not a bad paper anyway so you should be fine!

OK, so I have the home ec deb tomorrow.. :eek: ..and I was just wondering if someone could clarify all the information I have on the paper?

So the short questions are on..

how glyceride is formed, function of sodium and 4 sources, parts of the fridge, 3 risks associated with obesity

Q1 Compulsory

is on.. milk, whole milk & condensed milk, the processing of milk and 2 types of milk processing. Vitamin C-properties, functions, sources. How socioeconomic status affects someones food choice and food labelling.

Q4..

is about mortagage, the diff interest rates, buyin on credit, and 2 types of insurance.

Q5..

is on roles in the family

Elective 3..

Education and one of the questions was why the leaving cert is important for later in life, Poverty....the poverty line and the poverty trap.. Name two statutory poverty things. Work..benefits...instringent and extringent.

So does anyone have anything to add to that? I'm kind of worried about the short questions cause you either know them or you don't.. And what was the compulsory elective question? I'm so god damn lazy.. :pac:
