    Hi,

We are living in Sallins in Co. Kildare and we need to get our dog's nails clipped. Does anyone know the nearest Dog Groomers to Sallins?

    Thanks
    Nedd

Pet Groomers Ireland is based in Beatty Park in Celbridge. There's also a few mobile Pet Groomers around the area like Happy Hounds and DoggieStyle.

Would not recommend the happy hound at all ... plus I am sure the old threads about it are probably still around somewhere and they'd def make you wanna think twice about going there!

If your prerpared to travel I'd use the one in Celbridge but I'd give the one Littlelady suggested a try.

Forgot to say, it's also very easy to clip a dogs nails once you have a doggie nail clippers, it more so tends to be the noise of it scares them. You can start getting them used to it by getting them used to giving you the paw one at a time and allowing you to hold it, then use a biro (one that the nib clicks in & out out) hold it to near the paw and see how they react to the clicking noise of it as it's similar to that of the clippers. Lots of praise and a few little treats, then when your clipping them just take a little bit at a time unless you can see where the veins are in the nails so as not to nick them.

Also your vet would be able to clip the nails for you and no doubt the vet or groomers would allow you to watch how it is done so you can learn.
