The computer turned itself off at a very inconvenient time this morning...what are the chances of getting tickets on Friday?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,518 ✭✭✭krankykitty

Last time, I missed presale and was hitting refresh from 15 mins before opening time on the sale day, and still didn't get any..

seems that way, how do 5000 people snap them up that quick. I smell a rat.

acutally its the olympia, a lot less that 5k so.

    Nada.

They should just move the gig to the O2.

i base that on no evidence whatsoever but that many tickets can't be sold to online punters with in 30 seconds, they went some other way.

There still some available for London could make a weekend of it....

Always the theory here but at 2,600 capacity - 1,300 per night and tickets limited to 4 per person then 650 transactions would see the tickets sold out. Without taking into account those that are pre reserved, and the amount that were sold presale.

It's not a conspiracy you know.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,268 ✭✭✭Zapho

yeah that was odd. 3 of us trying from 3 different connections. I got to the "no tickets available" at 20 seconds passed 9am

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,440 ✭✭✭✭Piste

    Just saw this on toutless.com:

The number presale tickets was around 300 for each night.

Olympia holds 1,300 so there's still around 2,000 tickets up for grabs in the morning.
    No need for such panic.

Now I think they meant 1,000, but still, 1,000 tickets don't sell out at a few minutes past nine.

Surely they could fill the 02 with this much demand.

exactly, it doesn't make sense that they're playing olympia!

Let's hope we start to hear "due to phenomenal demand, an extra date has been added/Florence and the Mavhine have moved their show to the O2" ads in a few weeks. It worked for Placebo.
