I hope this game lives up to its potential. It has all the hallmarks of a great high scoring game and a real thriller. Will need something good to keep us up all night.

Have to say this is gonna be an all timer tonight! I still have no idea who to fancy in this one. Everytime I think the Colts I cant get past Drew Brees and the Saints.

Still with kickoff an hour away Ive got to make a call....Colts! The Saints are a defence that feeds off turnovers but I just cant see them picking off Manning more than once tonight. I cant imagine that Colts not putting up numbers against this defence after seeing them make the Jets look ordinary for most of their last game. The Saints need to show some exotic blitzes and constantly shake up where the blitzes are coming from to have a chance to keep Manning off balance. Even so the Colts showed last week that they have no issue keeping a running back and a second tight end in as pass blocker so its tough to see the Saints getting too much pressure with 7 blockers and even if they sit back in coverage given time Manning will find the seams in their zones.

After seeing how well the Colts stopped the run last week against the Jets I cant believe that the Saints will ramp up huge yardage on the ground but they need to make the Colts respect the run and avoid being one dimensional. Can they handle going to the big dance for the first time? Usually you get a feel for what way a game will go in advance of it but I still honestly have no idea whos gonna win.

    Only 1 hour to go!!!

Dunno who I want to win. Love both teams' style of play, players and their stories.

The cliché is worn, but I hope the better team wins.

4th quarter will most likely start sometime between 2AM-2.30AM Irish time. There is an extra long halftime for The Who.

    More like 2:30-3:30
game will be finishing from 3:15 on.

i hope everybody enjoys watching tonight. my money is on the Colts.

    Comon Manning

Would the NO defense to score anytime be a good bet? They are very good at turning it over but with pkayers being extra careful it's hard to know...

Saints Garrett Hartley is 5/6 to get more than 6.5 points and the same odds for under 6.5.
lm thinking over 6.5 points is a cracking bet.

Any1 else got an opinion on this?

Any1 think this is worth a bet?
    thanks

Btw. I've never been a big fan of this stadium for the Superbowl. It always looks cheap and old to me.

Its a nice enough stadium when your in it but defo starting to show it's age compared to places like Dallas and Phoenix.
My money is on the Colts to win by 4 to 3 on the touchdpwn count and by 10 or so in points.

It's hard to keep up with the pace of the anthem when someone else is singing it at the pace she decides.

For 13 straight years the NFC has won the coin toss? What are the odds of that happening? Whoa!

Can't see Freeney completing 60 minutes

8,192 to 1 according to Wikipedia

NO don't want to go three and out to often too early.

3 and out, not a great start.
I think they should have tried for a short pass and try to get a drive going as opposed to trying to win it in 1 throw.

Off the top of my head I reckon about 8100 to 1. :)

One of the sports casters said this 13 straight NFC toss wins, which is hard to believe given the odds.

Stats question: So what are the odds NFC wins the toss next year?

Ya it's amazing isn't it. That's odd's of 1/2 to the power of 13 which is what? *googles*..... 1/8192.

That would 16,384 to one for foruteen straight years.

But the odds if winning it next are the same as any other year - 1 in 2

Yep, I have to say, during the week my heart was saying Saints and my head was saying Colts. And while it's very early, that's still how I see it. The Colts are moving the ball and the Saints aren't yet, apart from with the boot!
