Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

BMW 3 Series (E46) Front wishbone bushes

    My car failed its NCT as the front wishbones bushes were worn and needed replacing (common problem with E46's from what I've been told). Can someone pls advise how much I would be looking to pay for parts and labour with a garage? From what I can see on internet parts should be about 90-150 euro and just want to make sure I dont get ripped off on the labour.

    You'd be looking at €100 max for the parts from the likes of GSF or otto. The E46 bushes are a small bit more expensive as they come with the metal holder.

    Labour will all depend on the garage and how used to doing them they are. You'd typically be looking at 30->45 mins per side.

    MicksGarage.ie is very cheap.. but if you're near the North East, a Car Parts place named Car L Parts in Dundalk is the cheapest place.. ever!

    my car also an E46 failed on front bushes last Tues, the parts are E100 in Rathgar motor factors and labor id imagine would be about E50 to fit... get a price from a garage or two... I got it done in chelmsford motors. AC CAR SALES also gave me a quote and costed the bushes at E55 each.
