Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Definitely among the worst 45 minutes of premier league football I have ever seen.

Yeah, did he ever move from Wolves? Don't think he ever played in the top division.

This game is crying out for Acquilani.

Seriously? Why on earth would you read a match thread if you're trying to avoid what's going on?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

If you don't want to know the game ends 0-0 don't read the thread.

Is the problem Lucas or Gerrard or Kuyt?

I imagine he's referring to the spurs game

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Well our main striker, Kuyt, keeps drifting out wide instead of staying in the centre. It's fine for Torres to do it because he can get past people when he goes out there but not Dirk.

Gerrard isn't doing anything in particular

And Lucas is doing better than Masch, who keeps getting caught on the ball

Bollocks. People have been saying that all season only for Liverpool to go on and lose in the last ten minutes. Your 6th sense isnt inspiring me with reassurance. I am in fear.

The Wolves support are up for this big time, hope we have a goal scored by the 80 min mark or the last 10 could see a wolves onslaught.

Is my stream in slow motion or is this the slowest Liverpool team that's ever played in the Premiership ?

Evolution moves quicker than this lot.

I'd say yes to an extent, with poor ball being launced up to them, Gerrard seems to be going very deep and Kuyt seems to be switching wings instead of holding in the middle. Lucas is playing it safe enough with his passes and taking no chances which is what we don't need against a team with lots of players back defending. We're showing no intellegence on the ball and no stones in general imo.

Maxi hasn't had a sniff. I'd like to see this team 2nd half:

    Reina

    Degen
    Carra
    Skrtel
    Aurelio

    Maxi
    Gerrard
    Masch
    Riera

    Pacheco

    Kuyt

I'm expecting ridicule for it but Degen offers an attacking threat and was very good against Spurs, Insua because he seemed incapable of doing anything bar hoofing the ball 1st half and Pacheco because his passing in the final third of the pitch tears teams apart from what I've seen it's about time he was given a chance other than the last few mins of a game imo

Nope you're seeing it right. They are in fact moving at that lackluster speed. Like they're running in treacle

Aurelio isn't even on the bench.

He's gotta be injured. He wasn't in the squad versus Spurs either

Someone should have a word in kuyts ear that he is our only striker on the field, sick looking at him in the centre circle and deeper, even if we win the ball back there is nobody forward.

And Darby is? so we have two RB's in reserve but no LB while we don't want the bench full of defenders thats still a bit ridiculous imo

Aurelio is injured, and Degen is currently operating as an RM so if he were to come on it'd be out on the right.

And no one to aim at, two players in the box.

Jesus, a bit more ambition please.

A backpass from a Wolves player from his own half.

Seriously, is there any danger at all of a football match breaking out here!!??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭Iago

Lads, please refrain from posting scores from other games in the match threads please. Some posters are waiting for highlights shows and would rather not have the scores shown.

Sly sports loving Liverpool slipping up? Why is Merson doing the Liverpool game when they have both Paul Jewel and Phil Thompson there?

    ******

  • Registered Users Posts: 479 ✭✭SWAR

Why is Gerrard still taking the corners...he rarely beats the first man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

This is one of the worst matches of the season, no doubt about it.

We're coming up to the time of the year were last year, we were beating Real Madrid in the Bernabeau, hammering them at Anfield, hammering Utd, hammering Villa, pretty much on average winning three nil a game.

How have we gone from that to this?? In saying that, i will take a sh!tty one nil win right now. We need to be getting six points from tonight and home to Bolton!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,519 ✭✭✭✭noodler

I am going to start a Facebook petition to stop Gerrard taking our corners.

I don't think they let Phil Thompson do the Liverpool games anymore, think he was too biased.

I know sometimes the guys doing it do be biased the other way.
