Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone has ever bought anything from the site Shopbop.com?

I know its based in the US and ships internationally but I'm worried that the parcel will get caught in customs here. Has anyone had any experience of this when buying things from a US site?

    Thanks in advance

This topic might be of some use to you, it's about import duty/tax/customs etc.

I bought a pair of Seven jeans from them a year or two ago. The jeans were reduced to $35, I got charged I think it was 60 euro by customs  :(
If you have someone in America who comes home regularly it's a great site to use. They have sales all the time, and some of the stuff in the sales is great value.

Do you mean that you get charged less tax? If so, (possibly stupid question) how does that happen? Are they declared as being of less value than the original price?

You have whatever you buy shipped to that address. They then send it on to you, but it's marked as a gift when they send it to you, so you don't get charged by customs for it.
