Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I am about to buy a new computer. I have had this one for a while and I have loads of data/programs/pictures etc etc including of course OE and all of my emails and stuff.

Just how do I go about transferring everything on to a new computer with a different OS ?

I'd really appreciate some good advice.

    Thanks in advance

When you say different OS, do you mean Win7 or Linux etc?

My present computer is running win2000 and the new one will be 7.

I have just been reading the blurb and it says:

OS Provided 7 Pro/XP Pro downgrade
    OS Preinstalled Win XP

You could network the two computers together and share the files you want to transfer at which point it's a simple case of copying and pasting (though I'm not sure if there are any issues related to sharing files from a Win 2000 OS to a Win XP OS). Failing that you could plug the old hard-drive into the new computer, or get your hands on an external hard-drive, and again just copy and paste.
