Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fault on a canon 50mm 1.8 EF.

I was cleaning my lens this morning when I noticed on the 50 mm 1.8 EF what looks like a bubble in the glass which has seemed to have expanded and two splayed feature's coming out either side of the bubble. This is inside the lens it self.

I bought the lens in the middle of December from Jessops in Bainbridge and it was not there when I bought it. I suspect this happened during the very cold snap were the bubble expanded and contracted.

    What do you guys think?

    Is this a build fault?
    Is it my own fault?
    Do I contact canon?
Do I bring it back to Jessops?

    Advice much appreciated.

I'd bring it back. The contract is between you and the shop, not you and the manufacturer. Its supposed to be of saleable quality. Unless you were burying it in snow I can't see this being an acceptable fault - the glass was obviously flawed - there houldn't have been a bubble to expand. I could be wrong, but that'd be my take on it.
