Suggestions for suitable structure

Hi folks,

Heres my dilemma, basically I usually run a poker league which is a straighforward freezeout, 6000 starting stack with 15 min blinds, but I have been approached to run a fundraiser game for the local GAA club.

Obviously the emphasis in this case is more on raising money but I would also like to keep it someway playable and not have it turn into a complete crapshoot, so what I was hopeing for here was if people could maybe throw out a few suggestions re starting stacks, re-buy stacks and blind timeframes, the buyin is €30 and re-buys are €10 (multiple re-buys are allowed)

I would estimate between 60-70 players, I have 45 players in my league and off course there will be a few supporting the GAA club.

Yeah held in a pub would need to have it finished by approx 12. 12:30 latest.

They take a % of the entry money/re-buys, they are not great games to play in from a poker perspective as in the value is practically nil, but most of the players playing are aware of this and its really only recreational players who are supporting the organisation that play, they are good fun but not to be taken seriously.

Hmmmm. Very hard to avoid ths turning into a crapshoot. Avoid antes would be one suggestion anyway. In a self deal pub deal it will only cause hassle. Anyhow, your objective is to make money so i'd say hold your rebuys till 6.30 so...

I'd estimate that you'll have somewhere between 700k and 1m chips in play so at 12am you'll have between 35 and 50 bbs at the table. Obviously you would be very close to a finish then. I've plenty of experience running these and with the self deal, poor players and drink involved they'll turn into crapshoots no matter what kind of structure you have. Good luck with it anyway.

Cheers for this, yeah im pretty sure it will turn into a bit of a crapshoot anyway but what you have suggested there looks very good and will run with something along those lines.
