Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am currently investigating a Desktop which will turn on but the screen doesn't come on, there is no post beep but all fans run.

I have check all connections, checked graphics card etc but have not resolved the issue - other than the possibility of the mobo being completely fried.

Anyway, to complete the check on the mobo I want to get my hands on a POST test card immediately.

Does anyone know if there are any shops selling these in Dublin/Wicklow?

Not really what you are looking for but since you didn't mention it have you tried resetting the BIOS?

Just thought I'd ask in case it saved you a trip to the shop.

    have tried that....

I took a jumper from the cd drive, popped it onto the reset jumpers on the motherboard beside the CMOS battery. With the battery removed I powered on the machine to reset the BIOS. and then turned it off...still nothing.

I even tried starting up with most of the hardware disconnected.

As I have checked all connections. This is why it leads me to believe something is mega dogdey.

I just want to confirm quickly that the mobo is a lost cause...so if you have an idea where I can get my hands on one I'd appreciate the info!
