Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Iv only recently reformatted my computer and for some reason whenever i try unzipping or extracting a file with winrar i get a CRC failed in "file name" error. iv read it might be my antivirus so i uninstalled avg and and reinstalled winrar but still the same issues, any ideas?

try using windows menu to unzip or winzip. check version of winrar is the latest. did you use passwords or encryption on the files? check the file sizes in case they were not all backed up completly.

Ick. Missed this. Moved to Computers & Technology.

I'd also give 7-Zip a try, very good free compression tool.

    sounds like a corrupt file?

do you have a backup of the file your trying to extract?

Have you tried emptying your temp internet files? CRC normally indicates an incomplete/corrupt download.

    Also, defrag your hard drive.

Crc errors are usually from 2 things.

The first being a corrupted download, this can happen alot when you are dropping alot of packets, secondly this can happen from a buggered hard drive.
