Hi, I'm looking for some books for my nephew/godson. My Christening present to him is a bookcase which I plan to top up at every subsequent Christmas and Birthday with age-appropriate books. He's only a few months old so I'm looking for books that other parents have found good for that age (i.e. around a year old). So obviously I'm talking about possible good books that could be read to him.

Possibly some good picture books or something like. Would really appreciate some recommendations. I'm not even sure if I put this in the correct forum, if not, sorry mods!

    Thanks.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - our guys have had it since they were about 1 and love having it being read to them still over a year later.

    Also this one... Monkey Puzzle

Thay are both long lasting books.

We got Baby Touch First Focus Library. It's basically high contrast pictures and patterns and small babies love that. Our fella stares and stares at the books and laughs at the checkerboard. He loves them!

By the way, I am sooo stealing your idea as a Christening present for our baby, such a fantastic idea.
