Hey,

Was wondering what the etiquette is in applying to several universities in Ireland for my Phd.

Completed the dreaded IRCHSS application form, with the guidance of the University I want to attend, however, I want to keep my options open and apply to several more Uni's, since funding is so difficult to come by.

However, I need to get academic references for my application to other Uni's, and was wondering is it a bit rude to ask the lecturers who I met about my proposal to act as referees for other Uni's??
