Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi.

I have a problem. Im trying to rip a movie from a dvd i own using a program called "dvd decrypter". I selected "file mode" and copied the default main movie files (default as chosen by the dvd decrypter) as there are trailers and other crap on the dvd which i didnt want copied.

However, when the files were copied onto my hard drive, i tried to play them in wwindows media player and not only does the video skip in parts, but the sound is very much out of sync.

I have done this process with another dvd a while ago and everything went a-ok. but with this dvd its not working out as simple.

Can anyone shed some light on whats happening and how i go about solving it.

Oh I might mention that the dvd I am trying to copy, I purchased from my local video store some time ago.

    thanks.

    DJ

I always use DVDShrink to make a copy of my DVD's.
It can't write to disc by itself but if you have Nero installed it can integrate that into the process.

I had this problem when archiving all my discs for my media center. Once the disc is ripped (you should have splitting to none) you are left with one big vob file. You have to run this file then through a program called Video Redo Plus, and fix its timestream. Takes about a minute or two, and it can output the file to an mpeg2 while its at it.
