HELLHAMMER all the way excellent drummer,

Also Belpheghor's drummer is pretty amazing. And as mentioned a few times above the Mighty TYRM!!!

I'm not a fan of metal drummers but for what it's worth I'd say Derek Roddy.
To the poster who mentioned Tommy Lee.. seriously?!

Dave Lombardo, Nick Barker, Frost, Gene Hoglan, Richard Christy, Pete Sandoval. they are all class.

Dave Lombardo is my favourite followed by barker.

    Neil Peart is unreal too.

Nicko McBrain has a really good style and rhythm. Joey Jordison is pretty good too :D

    Lombardo,
    Peart,
    Dailor,
    Bonzo,
Paul Bostaph is very good considering he had to fill Lombardo's shoes.
    Portnoy

I gotta say Phil Rudd is underrated, he's not flashy and rarely plays anything more complicated than a fill but man, he is just so solid and steady, none of the other AC/DC drummers (Chris Slade, Simon Wright) though good drummers, "felt" right.
I cant really explain it but Rudd just totally gels with the band he's in.
