Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

does anyone know if its possible to send and receive text messages from my pc to mobile phones. I don't have a mobile phone.

I bought a gadget in the cheap box in B&Q which I've connected to the phone line and it allows me to send and receive text messages. However its not very user friendly. Surely with todays technology, I can use my pc for sending and receiving texts (down the phone line)!

You can send texts via your PC/Internet but only if you have a mobile phone (free) or Skype/Voip account (small charge). There is no way to receive texts without having a phone AFAIK. Some landline phones have texting capabilities but I have one and never found it very user friendly. Maybe you should consider Twitter?
