Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Alternator bearings maybe? Did the guy who fitted it offer opinion?
Does the pitch change when you drive/accelerate? Idling?

Not good refurb job. Go back where you bought it.

thats what i thought. a bearing is gone. it wasn't the one that came off the car he told me it was one that he had fixed up. i had too pick it up and got the garage too fit it in. hope too get the car serviced this week coming so well get them to try and sort it out. the garage them selfs weren't happy with the noise.

Alternators have a small clutch which can cause this noise if it's faulty. The clutch kit can be ordered independently of the alternator - I had the same problem about 2 years ago with a 320d.
