my sister got me a few games from asia and austrailia but as they are a different region will not play in my console.

is there any way to modify or anything at all to get my wii to play these games?

You can chip your wii of sofmod it to get the homebrew channel on it and then run a program like Gecko to play them. I'm not going to give details on how to do it but a google search will sort you out.
