Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So i was watching Fulham v Villa earlier and noticed Simon Davies had to go off injured again. It left me thinking that he is probably better known at this stage for his time on the treatment table than for his footballing abilities. So if you were to pick a team of the most talented players in the premier league who seem to be constantly crocked who would you pick?

To get the ball rolling. Heres my team who will play a 3-4-3 formation

    Chris Kirkland

    Gary Neville
    Ledley King
    Johnaton Woodgate

Tomas Rosicky---- Owen Hargreaves---- Jimmy Bullard
    Kieron Dyer

    Louis Saha
    Michael Owen
    Robin Van Persie

    Some Subs:
    Craig Gordon
    Simon Davies
    Stephen Reid

    Kirkland
    Agger Woodgate King Clichy
    J. Cole Hargreaves Bullard M. Johnson
    van Persie Saha

Honourable mention must go to Harry Kewell, but he isn't in the Premier League any more.

    The whole Spurs squad :pac:

    Dean Ashton needs a mention

    Brilliant thread. :)

Pretty much agree with all of the above. I think Torres has to get a mention in here. He's always nursing something. Wesley Brown, Ben Foster as honourable mentions.

kirklands been rarely injured since joining wigan though, its just something in the water at liverpool methinks, look at torres, never missed a game with Atlético, now can't stay fit

Ha hah. Give him the fukkin armband.

Torres and Aurelio should be in there too as well as John O'Shea and Louis Saha.

The armband goes to Rosicknote if it goes to anyone.

Darren Anderton used to be the sicknote du jour when I was a wee lad.

Good point. I think his injuries have impacted negatively on his career though. Only one England cap and the likes of Ben Foster and Paul Robinson ahead of him in the pecking order. I think he would probably be undisputed England no.1 now had he managed to remain fit

4 of the OP's selections played for Newcastle. Says a lot about the last 10 years on Tyneside.

how does O'Shea get a mention - this is the first real injury he has had at United in about 10 years! 1 injury does not a crock make imo.

What about robben, was incredible at chelsea when he was fit but seemed to get injured every second game.

Damien Duff is another former Chelsea player who always seemed to be blighted by injury.

Can't see why Craig Gordon is included to be honest.

He had a couple of months out last season and this season he has only been out because Defoe felt the need to kick him when he had no chance of getting the ball and broke his arm. Other than that, he has never been out for any prolonged period of time in his career. Surely a total of 4 months out with injury during a whole career thus far is not enough to even warrant a place of the substitues bench.

Saha has to be the captain but give him 2 armbands to stop him falling over.

was gonna say that. a lot of football fans have the memory of a goldfish, which seems to be the time between now and the last time they read the sun.

    Thread needs more David Dunn.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,080 ✭✭✭TonyD79

    Foster

    Brown Woodgate King

    Dryer Hargreaves Duff

    Rosicky Van Persie

    Saha Owen

Don't forget our own Stephen Reid.

Hargreaves should captain the team. As a United fan, if I was naming the squad off the top of my head I would probably forget him.

Add Keith O'Neill, Stephen Reid, and David Dunn to the lists

Dean Aston too... sad the way things ended up for him. :(

Really thought he was going to end up with a top 4 team before things went belly up....

He's the definition of a Crockey Mc Crockerson!

Ledley King is probably the most talented player/defender in the Premier League, it's a real shame that he can't even train properly during the week.

Can't mention him without his equally crocked defence partner Woodgate

If there was an All Time Crocked XI, we'd have to include

    Gazza, Darren Anderton, Neil Webb

I can't believe we have gone 3 pages and not a mention of Jamie Redknapp, even in a list of injured players it seems he was injured so much he wasn't even noticed.
