Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hello. I'm a 20 y/ o man in need of a haircut. My hair is rather long and I'm sick of just getting either a short back and sides from a barber or else a crap and uneven scissors cut from a random hairdresser.

The thing is, I don't really know what to ask the hairdressers to do....I basically want to have a longish-hair hairstyle and I don't want it to just look like I got a haircut a few months ago and I've just let it grow for months without cutting it, because that looks bad! So, how do I go about getting a haircut without knowing exactly what I want or what would suit me?

I'd say the hair on the top of my head is about 5 inches long...the sides and back are about 4 inches...so as you can guess, it doesnt look right!

I find this a bit awkward too. I'm not in Dublin so I can't recommend a hairdressers. But regarding asking for a style, I often bring in a picture - I sometimes feel a bit silly, but at least they know then that I want a proper style put into it! I think finding a good hairdressers might be the key - that way you've a good chance of getting a decent cut even if it's not exactly the style you imagined.
