Location/Cost to buy new Steel/Alloy Wheels

    Hi All,

I'm looking at my old '99 Lancer outside and note that the only thing bothering me is the horrible state of the four alloys underneath it.

They look to originally be OEM 13" rims. I've seen them on other Lancers except they look far better cared for - with original Mitsubishi center caps.

My alloys are extensively stained/worn and look absolutely horrendous.

As I'm planning on keeping this car for a while more; workhorse that it is - how much would it cost to get four alloys refurbished? Or would the cost of a new set of decent, non boyracerish alloys be cheaper?

If so, How much? And even better where can I get them? Same question goes for procuring steel wheels. Would love to know where to get them - as it's only a matter of slapping on some decent hub caps. :)

May I just say that the alloys in Halfords aren't really my type.

    Thanks a million.

Generally alloy wheel refurb prices start at 50 euro and go from there per wheel. You could also look at adverts.ie and see if there's anyone selling a nice set.

have a look on partfinder.ie - it'll give you contact info for a good lot of breakers yards around the country
most places will deliver from €10 onwards , for a set of alloys with tyres it'll obviously be a bit more then that, still a cheap option

One place here in cork that had a good few Jap cars last time I was there where MF Autospares out near the EMC complex in Ballincollig
