    Hi,

I am looking for an answer to a question i have.

    I have 450 points which i got from a LC in 1992.

I have a pass in irish from a Leaving Cert in 1989.

I did not do Irish in 1992.

So if i have the points for a particular course eg 440 but the course requires OD3 Irish am i excluded from entry.

Is the fact that I have irish got in a previous leaving cert stopping me from getting the course ?

    g

the current rules are that you can add different leaving certs for matriculation requirements (e.g OD3 irish) unless you are applying for medicine which you are not.

i'd double check though when you are going back to 1989.

i would say it's extremely unlikely you are excluded.

even if you were you could gain entry by the mature entry route (assuming you weren't 2 when you did your first leaving)
