Got the PC but no desk - Where can I find a good one?

Hey lads! I got a PC there last week but something that I forgot to properly consider is a desk for it (so I've been using the dining room table for the last couple days ). Anyway, I need it to be quite big since I'm planning on getting a printer and I want to put my X360 and PS3 close to it as I want to use the monitor for HD gaming. I've looked around on the net and Argos but none of them are what I'd be looking for. Ideally, I'd like a desk that has 3 shelves (printer, X360, PS3), a closed off area to the side (or at least a panel on the outside edge of the desk to put it), a keyboard sliding shelf and a sliding shelf that can come out of the side of the top to be able to put/take away my racing wheel easily. I was thinking of going for a table with a very wide top instead of the sliding shelf but it would be very difficult to move around if I needed to. So would anyone know of a computer desk like that or know any ones similair to it? Thanks!

I can imagine your face of shock and embarrassment when you walked in with your PC, keyboard, mouse and monitor, only to see you have nothing to sit it on. :pac:


Also, yeah. IKEA has a decent range of largish tables. Not really anywhere else you could get one tbh

Thanks for the suggestions but the only problem is that my monitor is 22" so that desk won't do (supports 17")

I have a friend who's an out of work carpenter, he made me a little bench to my requirements out of waste from the Stira factory. I'm sure there's plenty of tradesmen out there that could do the same for you.

Yup...nothing beats a custom made desk. I built mine a few years ago in my old apartment. It was perfect for my needs. I haven't gotten around to building a new one here in my new place yet. It's really easy if you have access to some simple tools and a wood supplier.

If you are going to buy one, then make sure there is plenty of room for the mouse beside the keyboard. It's amazing how many of these 'computer desks' only have enough room for a full size keyboard and nothing else.

thanks for the effort but unfortunately, its very close but isn't exactly what I'd be looking for and the sliding side shelf or I guess it could be a flap instead. I think I'd go for two of them as well. I'd definitely need the 3 shelves. I don't need any drawers either.

@ScumLord: Yeah, I'm considering getting it made since I can't find anything that really fits. I might buy a desk and then just get someone to modify it to accommodate for the things I need.

VikingDirect occasionally have some decent desks too. This one could be made to work (assuming you can fit a console where the CDs are).

I had that desk for a while,its tiny.Good if you have a real lack of space.
