Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

xBox freezing

    Hi

My 360 has decided to freeze every time I try and use it - can either be as oon as it starts or after about 30 minutes.

I have been trawling the internet for a solution but everyone seems to talk about overheating - I don't think this is my issue as it hadn't been used for days before today and froze in the first 30 seconds after turning on.

Some games won't load up, some will play for a while. Still freezes when hard drive is removed. I have cleared the cache. Freezes when playing downloaded games and freezes on Sky player?

Anyone found a fix for this before - seems quite a common problem - at least as common as the RROD?

Bring it back where you got it from and ask for a new one

common sign that the 3 red rings are on the way. If it's under a year then bring it back to the store you bought it for a replacement, otherwise your looking at shipping to MS for repair.

Console is over three years old and has already been repaired once for RROD by Microsoft.

Anyone know of someone who can repair this or anyone who has had one repaired (not by Microsoft) - what sort of cost can I expect?

Doubt it, it's microshaft, very unlikely to replace it if it's out of warranty. My suggestion, buy a new xbox. Arcade's are going for less than 180, could get it for 150. I'll be looking to replace mine once it reaches 3 years (this xmas)

I think it can still be done for free if it's RROD as it was already repaired for RROD - unfortunately it hasn't yet displayed this fault.

If the freezing means RROD eventually I may wait - 180 for an arcade isn't bad as I have a 120 GB hard drive - depends on charge for repair - I know there is a place in BRay that fixes them and will give a quote.
