Lovely warm sunshine today with a max of 7.2c. Its 6.4c now and rather cloudy, Alot of talk of snow potential over the weekend but feel we have no chance here, its just too mild.

Still no precipitation here in the city heavy clouds to the south west over clare/burren. Clouds building northwest on radar it looks like it will hit in the next half hour to hour could be prolonged. Precipitation most likely rain near the coast as it hits colder air futher inland will turn to sleet and snow and possibly wintery near coasts as temp falls during the night. could be a white one by morn.

QUOTE from the irish weather station: The overall wind direction will be northerly, but because the winds will be light most of the time the wind direction will vary quite a bit. An Atlantic depression next Friday will bring more substantial falls of rain, with a high chance that the rain will turn to snow as it starts to fall on the cold air over Ireland.

what's the chances of that happening ? we can really only predict a few days ahead but not 7 days ahead and get it right. will be interesting to see how it pans out next friday.

    Hi all,

Its going to be a hot one here this week, heading to 32 C - 38 C by Wednesday with night temps around 22 C.

With low humidity we are on the watch out for forest and scrub fires.

    regards

Heavy frost at 8 A.M but the sun had it gone by 9 :)

Great power in the sun these mornings.

Frosty, foggy morning brightened up for a while with beautiful easterly sky but more low cloud rolling in from the midlands, no doubt which is lifted midland fog which decided to move over here and dampen my brief spurt of sun!! 1.9c.
