Registration Plates

    I've just failed the NCT due to my Registration Plates being tarnished/unclear. I get a free re-test but do you guys know where I can get a set of plates in the same day. I'd appreciate any help.

    I'm off work this week so would like to get this out of the way. Will any local garage do them or do I have to go to a specialist. Do you have to show proof of ownership or anything like that??

    Should mention, I live in Castleknock vicinity.

    Most auto factors should do it.

    Like mentioned. Nearly all motors factors do them.

    Strange thing for you to miss prior to your NCT though.

    To be honest, the number plates are the same ones i've always had and haven't changed since I last got the NCT. There is a slight scuff mark on one of the numbers. I also failed because i didn't remove the hubs. I never received a letter of confirmation so I wasn't too sure of what was required. Its a free re-sit so I wasn't too bothered when I had to get it retested.
