    Hi Lads,

My old man is looking into getting a new car in the next month. The budget is 15,000. He's trading in his 99 focus so will get the goverment scrappage

If you were in his position what would you go for?

He was looking at the Renault Megane as they are doing a decent trade in deal at the moment on top of the government scrappage. Essentially you're getting a 20 grand car for 15 grand, which seems very reasonable

Anyone hear of any other good deals at the moment?

The Megane is hard to beat at the moment, it will be the basic Royale, but if he could secure a Dynamique for his €15000 then he should be delighted.

Down a class he would get a Fiesta or a Polo, both good cars.

Yeah I did say to him to try and get the Dynamique rather than the Royale if he's going for a Reno, even if he has to pay a bit extra

I think he's looking for something a bit bigger than the fiesta or polo

Do you think any other dealers will follow suit and give double scrappage in the near future?
