Motor tax on imported 2008 car

Hi Guys, Looking to find out if i import a March 2008 car, will it be classed as the new tax rate as it will be registered in 2010 or will it be classed as the old rate because it is not before July 2008 when the new system was started. Thanks in advance.

new tax rate, it counts from Jan 2008 for imports.
