    Lagan who look after the roads will only claim Non Malfeasance or Force Majure.

    Did this happen recently OP ? I go through that toll twice a week and even during the heavy frost it seemed to be gritted.

    Its a PPP scheme, and under those contracts the PPP contractor (eurolink) in this case are responsible for maintaining the roads, including gritting when nessessary.

    The road is technically belong to Eurolink and is then reverted to the government after a set period (normally 30 years) but this depends on the contract with the NRA

    Sorry i wouldnt be used to the technical terms in law.
    So your saying basically its outside their control and im at fault??

    The road was actually gritted on the lanes approaching the toll laza but as the road widens, there was a large part not gritted between the outside and inside lane.

    I don't think you have a case to be honest. anything that was said on the thread I linked to earlier applies in your case too.

    You were obviously driving outside of your abilities or innappropriate to the conditions
