    Whats the plan for Patrick's Day in Sydney this year? What day is parade celebrations on?

    Is it not celebrated on the 17th? :confused:

    I know that’s a Wednesday this year so they could have parades on the weekend or something but what Irishman is going to wait 3 days to celebrate St. Patrick’s day?

    Yes lads and ladies,

    The Sydney parade is on Sunday 21st (always 3rd Sunday of March) and there are lots of fundraising events in the next couple of weeks including the Sydney Irish Bachelor of the Year Awards Gala on 20th Feb (in the Four Seasons, think The Rose of Tralee for boys - very funny!), the St Patrick's Day Races at Randwick on Saturday 13th March and there are a few others - all on www.stpatricksday.org.au The family Day after the Parade will have some good bands and Eleanor McEvoy is headlining.
    I'm on the committee so just email me on media@stpatricksday.org.au if you have any other questions.

    I think that unfortunately Melbourne isn't doing it's parade again this year and Perth has a small one. The Celtic Club in Melbourne (on Latrobe St) will have more info on any events in Melbourne.
