Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Downloaded Any Video Converter and converted a DVD to play in a DVD Player, gives me a choice to convert to and I picked MPEG2 (.mpg) which it says is for DVD Player.
Sony DVD Player won't play the disc now, have tried both +R and -R's.
    What am I doing wrong?

    My choices are
    Common Video Formats
    DVD Video NTSC.mpg
    DVD Video Pal movie .mpg
    MPEG-I Move .mpg
    MPEG-II Move .mpg
    Customized AVI Movie .avi
    Customized WMV Movie .wmv
    Customized MP4 Movie .mp4
    Matroska Video .mkv

I would think you should choose "DVD Video Pal movie .mpg"

DVD Flick is also worth a look...

That's what I choose but the DVD won't play for me.
Just thought it was a bit strange.

Which file and burning formats are covered by the dvd player?

I've a Sony and it seems a bit choosy.

    I've tried
    DVD Video Pal movie .mpg
    MPEG-I Move .mpg
    MPEG-II Move .mpg
    Customized MP4 Movie .mp4

I've tried a few other makes of DVD Players as well with no luck so I guess that rules out the make.

On the burnt DVD-R did it create a folder called VIDEO_TS containing a number of *.vob & *.ifo files?
