Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I mentioned recently in weekly la liga thread that this is the first time in a long time Brazil are going to the world cup without a superstar striker.

Fabiano will definitely be in the squad but my point is he isnt percieved as a truly superstar striker like Ronaldo, Romario etc and he isnt prolific.

They still have Adriano too, and Pato is becoming a superstar too. I understand what you are saying though, they had Ronaldo and before that Romario and prior to that Zico who would all have been considered among the top 3 in the World during their time with Brazil.

I think Fabiano is class too but you are right he is not thought of as even a top 20 striker by a lot of people.

Pretty much what I am getting at. He seems to blow hot to cold though this season he was on form before he got injured.

He is not a name that would strike the fear of god into a defence at the world cup like Brazilian strikers of the past.

This should be a cracker hopefully. Plenty of attacking talent on show with Forlan, Reyes, Kun Aguero, Canales and Barca youngster Henrique.

Wouldn't suprise me if Atletico get a good win tonight, then lose against a weak team next game in the league. Story of their season.

Hopefully not, I have a 25/1 Accumulator with Atletico and Roma needing to win for it to come in.

Roma have just gone 1-0 up so hopefully I'm in luck :D

Two penalties, Racing must've got a bit frustrated there towards the end then? Calm ball from Forlan to stick away two penos.

Aguero is just awesome to watch. I would love a player cam on him for a match. I hope he won't end up being ruined like Torres at Liverpool!
