Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Claiming Tax Back for 2009

Last year I worked for 21 weeks and it was suggested to me I look into claiming tax back but i'm at a loss of how to go about it.

I have access to PAYE anytime and through that i have requested a P21 statement for 2009 and also 2008.

When I get the statement back will it say if I am owed money - a friend in the same situation got his back today and it just said balance zero - does this mean he is not entitled to any tax back? or is there something else he should do?

Thanks for any help its greatly appreciated.

You can claim tax back, you need your p45 and form p50, check this out
http://www.revenue.ie/en/personal/tax-refunds.html it will tell u everything. You must remember that any unemployment benefit is taxable.

As for your friend if his says zero then he does not owe the revenue and they do not owe him.
