Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey guys, I'm in the middle of writing an essay on Mr Lachapelle, which is due tomorrow :( Left it a bit late to do it. Was just wondering if anyone knows good sources on Lachappelle to back up my essay? Not really finding any concrete stuff online at the min :(

    Also, before i get attacked, im not asking you to do my work for me, Just trying to save some time cause i figure some people on here might have done something similar before and could point me in the right direction! :rolleyes:

    Thanks :)

    Did you go to his exhibition here recently? I think the talk was recorded, you'd do well if you tracked the video down online.

    I did! I loved it. I've made reference to it already in the essay :) I checked out the video the week it was posted. Kinda got annoyed while watching it though because all the questions kept coming back to the "over use" of photoshop. Although saying that i didn't watch the second part because of that point lol

    if you check the wiki sources a ref from them its perfectly reliable and saves you alot of work

    a couple of angles to consider;

    probably about 100 words in it, you might remember what he was saying at his Dublin talk about the person, the Kanye with his homies v on his own, de caprio over the years, the change in people, eminem.........

    another concept which came through the session that I recall (probably worth another 100 words) is the idea that in its presence and in your minds eye you own the art - it doesn't matter who really owns the art in a legalistic way, but art being for the people.

    gah! theres 200 words for ya (if at all relevant :p) Good luck.

    There's a thread on here somewhere with others opinions / like and loathe. Search should be your friend.

    Thanks AnCat! very helpful :D

    Gonna search for that thread now and see if any of it gives me a writing spree. Kinda having a mental block at the minute :mad: lol

    If I can pull out a 3,500 word essay on Team Work in a night, with pictures, graphs and other stuff, then you should be able to pull something out on a topic as interesting as David LaChappelle :pac:
