    Hey guys

I'm looking for a new TV/Monitor for the bedroom, round 22" to 24" but 24" preferably. The main priorities are a built in DTT MPEG4 tuner and a decent resolution, 1080p if possible. I'm in Cork too so i'd have to get it delivered

    I've picked out these few from the website;

    Samsung P2470HD
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/samsung/p2470hd/sams-p2470hd

    Samsung T240HD
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/samsung/t240hd/sams-st240

The main issue with these two is the mystery over the mpeg4 tuner. Its an absolute must i'm afraid. Would be pretty sure than the P2470HD does have an mpeg4 tuner( http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/3851237/art/samsung/syncmaster-p2470hd-24-wid.html , Judging by the claimed TNT HD compatiibility in this link ). Not so sure about the T240HD, research tells me that there are versions with an mpeg4 tuner and others without. My preference would be the T240HD if it has mpeg4, because it has 2 hdmi sockets as opposed to one on the P2470HD. However i see it is down as being reduced to clear so ye probably wouldnt have it. I know that many tvs are standardised so there would be no regional variations, just not so sure on this one.
Anyway, could ye look into this for me?

    Thanks for the help! :)

    Michael

    Zonda/Michael,

the P2470 is def MPEG4 we have several with Boardies in the field already and they have all reported back that MPEG4 is shiny and bright on theirs!

We have it in stock ready to ship (its a full HD cracker!) at £269.95 - just drop us a line or give us a ring if we can assist,

Thanks John, just trying to make up my mind

I see the 27" version the P2770HD is also available from stock on the .com site, would i also be able to get that shipped? BTW, what would i be looking at for shipping to Cork on both the 24" and 27" versions?

Also, i hope it still ok to pay over the phone with laser like you said here

    Thanks a million!

    Zonda,

Yep the 2770 is available in our main warehouse but we are out of stock of it locally - I can order one for you no problem and it would be in on Tuesday 16th - shipping would be just £11.99 on the 24" and £14.99 on the 27".

We are having real difficulty with processing €uro laser cards in Belfast at the moment but as you are a regular ;) we will of course get you sorted - if there is any issues just ask the guys to call Urs in the office and she will get it sorted for you (she is the efficient one in the Company (and the best looking as well :)))

Thanks again and keep me posted,

    ATB,
