Hello all. Where would I get a small piece of cedar wood. (approx 2'x2' x 1/4" ) Ideally an old very dry piece maybe from an old piece of furniture. Any ideas

A piece of logsawn cedar from any sawmill, should do the job. Exactly what is it for.
