Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

From Photographersdirect.com website, here is a list that may be of interest to those who try to earn a few bob from their photography:-
This page shows a list of email addresses used by scammers targeting photographers. The scams are generally advance payment scams - they ask you to do a job (wedding shoot, anniversary party, fashion shoot etc), agree a price and send you advance payment in the form of a cheque/money-order etc. The payment will be much larger than the amount agreed and they will then ask you to forward the difference to someone else. The original cheque will then bounce and you will have lost the money you forwarded. From E photozine see link:)

It's a classic old scam though, not really specifically photographic related. It should raise alarm bells in anyone with half a brain, like asking people to pay for Genuine Leicas at bargain prices, Western Union and direct cash transfers only. The solution is, as always, to wait for the cheque to clear before proceeding with anything.
