A company I’m doing some consultancy for are looking to break in to the corporate IT services market. They ain’t got no customer info. Any customer I previously worked for had an established customer database (albeit not always a clean one).

Anybody have any suggestions on the best and cheapest route to getting a relatively clean database of companies and contact details for any companies in the West & Northwest with > 15 employees? They bought Kompass previously but didn’t feel the info was any good...

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Animha, if they filter the Kompass information and then spend a day telemarketing themselves to clean up the database to their specific needs, it would be a start.

To get the perfect database takes time and consistency. Remember, they can start with a small amount to market to and build from there.

Carry out surveys. get their accountant to similar to promote on their behalf, chamber databases are generally up to date.
