Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm doing it! I just started running in January so a bit nervous about it. Should be fun though!

    €150

    Great cause though.

150 but if 15 people gave 10 euro its not so bad! I have 50 already. Will we be up to our eyes in muck?? Looking forward to it. What camera will withstand that dirt? Me n 2 friends!! I'd say it'll all be very light hearted and not competitive really. Very good cause!

Yeah, I wonder how many people are taking part in it. I suppose that'll dictate how competitive it is

€150 for a glorified obstacle course is daylight robbery. Good cause I agree but it's taking the michael.

Here is a link to the above run: http://www.ms-society.ie/mudrun

    I agree 150 is a hell of a lot.

I'm doing the following: http://www.runamuckchallenge.com/ in march and its only 30, again all the profits go to charity, in this case Niall Mellon trust.
Don't want to pit the two against each other, but I think its better to charge less, will get a lot more people and I would guess raise the same ammount.

Anyway, any training advice for running through ankle deep muck.
I'm planning on doing some hill climbs and a bit on stony beach, I reckon that will help a bit.

    Hi guys,

Thanks to those of you who have already signed up to Mud Run. It's looking like we'll have well over 450 on the day. For those of you who haven't registered, there's still plenty of time. Just go to mudrun.ie or ms-society.ie.

It's definitely not a glorified obstacle course, amadeus. We wouldn't waste anyone's time making it a walk in the park.

€150 may seem a bit steep but as loca says €10 from a few mates and you have it in the bag. All of the €150 is going to MS Ireland.

Persil has come on board to sponsor the event to ensure all monies raised go to providing services for people living with MS. Persil will also be giving away goodie bags on the day and every participant gets an event t-shirt.

Mud Run is all about having a bit of craic and a laugh, nothing too serious so if you're up for it, we'd love to see you there.

    Roll on the 27th Feb!

That looks deadly. For anybody doing this tomorrow - DON'T WEAR TRACKSUIT BOTTOMS.

So i did the Mud Run in Mondello for MS Ireland. Oh my god, that was hard going at times, particularly at the back end of the course where you were up and down all the time. But it was fun though, might do it again next year. Over 500 people turned up which is great. Covered in mud and drenched in water but it was cool. Water was freezing.
