Best tip I can give you is this ......
Dont fly the Heli from the seat position (looking out the windscreen) use the back directional button and fly the Heli from the external view (rear camera from behind) its alot easier , you also can keep it steadier for the gunners and its a gift to land for repairs when in the view .

To be honest while this is a good tip for new players who want to fly the blackhawk it's not good practice and it will only get you into a bad habit. You will never be able to fly an apache / hind like this so I would recommend getting used to flying from inside the cockpit.

The best tip is to invert your flight controls, it makes things a whole lot easier then as mixednuts said start off slowly with the right stick to turn, point your nose forward and hold R2 to pick up speed, pull the nose back while holding R2 to slow or hover. Use L2 to lower yourself down. It takes some getting use to but once you get the hang of it you'll be blowing up tanks in the apache in no time. Only use the left analogue stick if you need to turn around 180 switly, bank in the direction of the turn!! Hope this helps!!

Only tonight have I imporoved on my flying skills, and what KNOX mentions makes perfect sense , but from a confidence point of view use my instruction to gain it and KNOXS instruction to be a master .

I'm a first person shooter noob on ps3, never liked using the controller for these types of games so always used the pc for them. This game has made me want to learn how to play with the controller, it's amazing can't fault it in any way. Put in about 4 or 5 hours a day since Monday. I have a mic also, essential for team play I think. Will be on later if anybody fancies blowning some s**t up.

Thanks for the game last night, first good game in ages! So refreshing to respawn in the middle of a fight then having no team work and having to start at base again!

Sorry, couldn't mic up and had vol down a bit on telly so couldnt make out what ye were saying but tried to folow as best i could. This game is way better when playing in a proper squad, fair play chee, ye all got top scores. Then got disconnected and lost my Aug that I just unlocked last night! That pissed me off so just left. Will try mic up next time!

If you want to get good fast play conquest on Atacama Desert, both teams spawn with an Apache / Havoc in their base a good bit away from the action. Get in there and give it a go, what I would say is possibly try this late at night on a less populated server if you're not to confident as constantly crashing the most valuable asset on the map is probably not going to go down too well with your team mates

I've clocked up over 2 hours in the apache now and I will admit I am quite good in them, you really can dominate a team and change the outcome of a game if used correctly. Attacking on rush I usually try and sneak into the defenders base and steal the apache, nothing better then causing mayhem for them with their own beast!!

Add me for a few games, I usually play with a friend or two during the day but alot of the time i'm solo and I hate not having a gunner!! :pac:

Yes when it comes to Helis my destiny is been a gunner .
Managed to spawn on a guy who had stolen the Heli on the 3rd phase of Port Valdez , I gunned down 22 of them before we got shot down by a Rank 35 who must have tracer darted us.
A good pilot and gunner make all the difference , it was quite simple once we got into it , we had a clean sweep of a squad who could only spawn at the back of the map ( behind heli pad) so we knew their spawn point , sure enough we kept sweeping that area and getting muliple kills as they tried to hind behind the fence and RPG us.
Great fun had and I now have a taste for been a gunner , especially in a stolen Heli .

Will hook up with you sometime , my playing schedule is tight with work and kids keeping me busy.

So annoying when you only have half an hour and you get on a team of douchebags, GAWD. I end up leaving if a team is crap on defense, after playing the game with people who know what their doing its very hard to go back to playing with randomers. Anytime I get that message, I just quit the game and go to the XMB. Then restart the game from there, always works for me.

Lads, anyone else getting constant lag? It's not too bad until I go to shoot someone one. Enemy atarts running on the spot and then appears 15 feet away! I can't get many kills and am dying a lot because of it. I thought I was just **** but I had one game with no lag and I got 8 kills in a row 3 times in one game. Assault, always in the middle of the action, so no hiding and sniping.

Also, the points are crazy! I killed 4 guys, confirmed on screen 50 points each, I didn't die. I check score board 120 points. This game is constantly doing me out of points! Still excellent though!

Now that you mention it , last night a couple of games got laggy .

I was even thinking that the patch they released yesterday that i downloaded contributed to the Lag as I never really got Lag as severe .

Dunno about lag, wasn't on last night. But i have been experiencing those point problems, about 50% of the time when i destroy an M-Com station i don't get the XP for it.

Yea ..I have noticed that aswell , but I also get kill assists when i know for a fact that they are not owed .

Yeah I wonder often about those phantom kill assists. Only seem to get them when I'm Assault or Medic so I guess they killed the person with the ammo I gave them or something :P

So that patch has finally unlocked my veteran status, but now its laggy as hell. Pretty annoying when you're trying to shoot someone and they jump forward 10 feet.

oh ya that fookin patch, only getting lag since then!! Plus other weird things.
I could only pick C4 as a specialisation with Assault.
I unlocked a trophy for unlocking all specialisations in one group which I havn't even done yet.
I got reset back a level and lost my newest weapon since the patch.

My god what kind of testers are they using! Developers fooked up!

Got this game bundled with Uncharted 2 when I bought the PS3 in GAME last week; delighted I chose it. Fantastic online play. Learned to fly the UAV last night as well, finally!

Slowly developing my classes, have had little time so far unfortunately due to work. Will work on this a bit over the weekend.

How do I add people to play with on PSN as well? Completely new to this PS3 jazz. Cheers

Anyone know if the patch has finally fixed the issues with unlocks having the wrong levels etc? Was eager to unlock the body armor after a few times losing 1 on 1 in firefights against people using it, but I got to level 13 and it hasn't unlocked. Same deal with the shotgun slugs-thingy.

Im still getting disconnected after only 4 minutes of play. Lost connection. Im with o2 and still cant get it to work. Online store is working and got the patch installed.

Is this typical from the game ? Should i return it ?
