    Barely.

Threads like this remind me strongly of the tragedy of the commons, tbh.

    Noone said he was unshakeable,

I think you missed the bit where I said:

This isn't suggesting I agree with the post you were responding to. It is, rather, an observation of what I believe make good moderator qualities.

Not only did no-one say he was unshakeable, I didn't suggest it either.

Are you talking about the one in the film or the horrible incident on the quays? I thought the later but now I'm thinking it was the film one.

I didn't read the whole thread - but what's the MOD salary otherwise why is there such a long thread on this?

Is it like a public sector salary where you get annual increments regardless of how useless you are or private sector where the more you ban, the bigger your banking bonus you get until the site implodes and causes a recession.

It's more like being a janitor.

You get paid nothing, but it doesn't matter how much they did pay you, you still have to clean up loads of crap.

    Janitors don't get paid?

    A twice inaccurately named bike.

    One thing in it's defense.

It had back peddle brakes and I was well known to young teenage girls for being able to rip down the lane to the corn field (Swords Bypass now) and skid for well up to twenty feet as I twisted the bike left and right to precisely drift the lanes tricky chicanes .. it is still spoke of

This thread is a perfect example of why transparency, while usually a good thing, can also mean the loss of polite social niceties, rudeness and a LOT more unhappiness.

This thread should never have been started. A salient lesson in these times.

    DeV.
