That to me reads as though Capello already had his mind made up before the meeting.

What does everyone else think ?

I would expect him to have already mate up his mind to be honest.

That or Terry said I'm done and left it at that, not much to talk about either way so it only lasting 12 mins isn't surprising.

He needs to pick someone who has a chance of starting the games.

You're right, they won't pick a guy who played 16 of the last 18 internationals (one of those two that was missed was through suspension btw).

    Terry Stormed out.

If he had any sort of honesty about him.

He would have forgot about england and chelsea and jumped on the first flight to try save his marriage and kids.

This shows more about him and whats important to him than anything else.

Rio or Gerrard for captain please. Anyone but Lampard, he does sweet fúck all in an England shirt.

Please tell me you can see the difference from what Terry England captain did from what Rooney or any other footballer did?

As in did the dirt on his missus? Isn't that the main point here?

Is was with an ex-girlfriend on a teammate.

Lol at myself defending John Terry tbh.

All hinges on Bridges reaction to be honest.

    in what sense?

Bridge just seems to have kept quiet and wants to get on with his footie. If it wasn't his bird at the time then I think that make a huge difference. Bridge may not even make the England squad. I would think the rest of the England players who go to the WC will be happy to have Terry there and will acknowledge that he made a mistake.

I just cant understand the fuss over it and **** the English media, i hate this sort of rubbish.

Eh his wife flew out there for a reason. He is meant to meet up next week. He also has a huge game this week. So the wife gets time away. Works out.

I really don't understand why it affected his captaincy. What he does outside the pitch is his business, i said the same when Tiger Woods was caught. It's no one's business what extra marital affairs they have as long as it doesn't affect their perfomances on the pitch.
    Who cares?

Completly different, you can't compare them at all. Tiger Woods plays a solo game, he dosn't need people to listen to him Terry does. Terry is meant to have respect from all the players and that, which he won't have now.

If i'm right Beckam and Rooney have cheated on their wives(when i say cheated i mean at some stage the press have gone haywire on their extra marital affairs) Rooney also had a bit of a gambling problem.

These players are human as well, if we start looking at faults like extra marital affairs etc there will be no captains!!

He didn't ride his team mates gf, she was his team mate's ex gf!

If Bridge makes a big issue out of it. I don't mean via the press. Privately.

A group of players could easily splinter.

His marriage could be falling apart, kids are involved.

I can't believe people can't see a difference here, it's plainly obvious! Would you like to share a dressing room with someone who rode the mother of your child behind your back?

    well done Fabio.

my respect for you has gone up 100%, showing that there is a shred of moral fibre left in the game.

Lampard or Rooney should get it.

nobody else worthy of it imo.

Barry is maybe an outside shot, due to his experience at club level.

how is that sad CHD? just because hes chelski captain that doesnt mean that he isnt a nasty nasty man. i also dislike nasty ppl.
i have said many times how gerrard is an idiot who should shut his mouth, still love him on the pitch and hes still liverpool captain and ill still support him, but a spade is a spade.

Terry IS a nasty human being. you might not like it, but you have to go along with it. calling other ppl sad because they are delighted he got taken down a peg or 2 for being a dishonest ass who cheated on his wife and his kids is plain stupid tbh.

he has shown no class, no honesty and doesnt seem to give a sh1t about the future consequences of his actions. he tried to take the glory by scoring the penalty in 2008 and fell on his ass. a centre back should never have taken that. now hes gone and cheated on his wife with a good friends ex who is the mother of his child and hes fallen on his ass again. he has dug his own grave and as has been said numerous times, it couldnt happen to a nicer man.

    like it or not

Agreed, Barry is almost certain to start, Carrick is sh1t and Hargreaves is made of balsa wood

Midfield should be Lennon-Lampard-Barry-Gerrard i'd say

    1. Rio Ferdinand
    2. Stephen Gerrard
    3. David Beckham
    4. Wayne Rooney

    I have a vice-captain and a 3rd choice captain

he was a bad choice first day as captain, yeah my money would be on rio he is vice captain at the moment. there is 5 or 6 players in that england squad that are damage goods so its a tough choice for cappello.

i really didn't want someone to ask; i'm really not that needy thanks.

    but since you do...

i'm not fully sold on him as Liverpool captain. he's inspirational in a, he'll do it all single handedly, kind of way. which is fine. i haven't liked his demeanour during our slump at all.

    just my opinion though.

and for the record, i think he will get it though.

i just don't think he needs it, and i don't think he's the best option.

implying him in the 'not worthy' category like I did wasn't intentional; i said it quite flippantly.
